A very interesting title indeed.
I manged to read this book on Kindle. My second book I read on Kindle. The plot was interesting enough to keep me going.
The story revolves around an old man Allan Karlsson who decides to run away from the Old Folks’ Home through the window of his room which was on the ground floor just before the staff and the other old people bring in his 100th birthday celebrations.
It talks about the journey he had right from the time he left the Home. Quite an adventure it was.
The author shuffles between the adventure Allan is having and his past. The past gets quite boring. The part where it talks about his childhood and his family can be read, the rest of the part about his past has a lot of information to intake which take time to digest. One could easily read the book by skipping the chapters about Allan’s past. Each chapter is carefully dated and hence it isn’t difficult to track down the chapters which talk about his past. I did read about his past but skipped most of the paragraphs and ended them sooner than usual.
Again a book from which I expected a little more.
